Animation production
Animation brings strategy, storytelling, design, and movement together to make complex ideas easier to understand and remember.
From software explainers and product launches to 3D visualization, motion graphics, and animated campaign content, we develop each project around what the brand needs to communicate and what the audience needs to understand.
Every engagement starts with the objective. We collaborate with marketing teams and enterprise leadership to shape the message, write the script, establish the visual language, and determine the right animation approach for the audience, budget, runtime, and channels.
Animation can stand on its own or be integrated into live-action content to visualize products, technology, processes, and ideas that are difficult or impossible to capture on camera. Different challenges call for different creative solutions. Our standard remains the same: artistry supported by the infrastructure and production discipline to carry the work from initial brief through final delivery.
Who it's for
We work with internal marketing teams at technology, SaaS, manufacturing, healthcare, financial services, and other B2B brands that need to communicate something complex, introduce a product, or bring an unseen idea to life.
We also partner with independent agencies that need animation and production capabilities beyond their internal resources.
Clients don't need to arrive with a finished concept, script, storyboard, or visual style. We work best with teams that understand what they are trying to accomplish and value a collaborative partner who can translate that objective into a clear story and distinctive visual approach.
How it works
Creative development: We begin with the objective, audience, message, stakeholders, distribution plan, runtime, and definition of success. From there, we develop the concept, narrative, script, and recommended animation approach with your team.
Visual development: Once the direction is established, we create style frames, character or product designs, and storyboards that define how the final animation will look and move before full production begins.
Animation production: Our team builds the approved direction through design, illustration, modeling, texturing, animation, compositing, and scheduled review rounds. The process is structured around clear milestones so your team can provide feedback at the right stages.
Post-production and delivery: We manage voiceover, music, sound design, final compositing, versioning, and delivery through one connected process. Each asset is prepared for the channels and applications established during planning.
The result is animation built around the objective and budget, with a visual language designed to clarify the message and raise the standard of the brand's existing content.
Why Digital Spark
Digital Spark is a founder-led creative production company, based in Charlotte since 2014 and producing projects across North America. Our leadership stays closely involved from the first creative conversation through final delivery.
We combine creative thinking with a structured animation process. Our team brings together writers, designers, illustrators, animators, 3D artists, sound designers, and other specialists based on the creative and technical needs of each project.
Because Animation, Motion, and Stills operate within one creative production company, we can also integrate animation into live-action campaigns, product videos, commercials, and broader content systems without dividing the work across separate vendors.
That structure helps protect the creative while managing the realities of enterprise production, including budgets, timelines, technical accuracy, brand standards, stakeholder approvals, review rounds, and multiple deliverable formats.
The goal isn't simply to add movement. It's to create a visual system that makes the message clearer, gives the audience a reason to keep watching, and presents the brand at a higher level.

Common questions
Do we need to provide the concept or script?
No. Many clients come to us with a product, platform, process, or communication challenge rather than a finished creative direction. Creative development is part of our process. We can develop the concept, narrative, script, visual language, storyboard, and production plan with your team. If your internal team or agency already has an established concept, we can build from that foundation.
What does an animation project usually cost?
Animation projects typically range from $15,000 to $100,000. The investment depends on the level of creative development, runtime, visual language, technical complexity, number of scenes, 2D or 3D approach, voiceover, sound design, and required deliverables. A focused 2D animation may call for a leaner production approach, while a highly designed 3D product visualization or broader campaign system requires more specialized development and production time. We recommend the approach that best supports the objective, budget, and standard the work needs to meet.
How do you decide between 2D and 3D animation?
The right approach depends on the story, product, audience, desired visual style, available assets, timeline, and budget. 2D animation is often a strong fit for explainers, software, services, and message-led content. 3D can be especially effective for product visualization, technical demonstrations, environments, and ideas that require depth or realism. Some projects benefit from combining both.
Can animation be combined with live-action video?
Yes. Animation can be integrated into live action through motion graphics, product visualization, interface demonstrations, compositing, visual effects, or fully animated sequences. Because our animation and motion capabilities operate within one production company, both disciplines can be planned around the same concept, visual direction, and delivery requirements.
How long does an animation project take?
The timeline depends on the runtime, style, complexity, review process, and number of deliverables. Projects requiring original creative development, detailed 3D assets, or multiple stakeholder approvals generally require more time than a focused 2D execution. We establish the production schedule and review milestones during planning so every stakeholder understands when feedback and approvals are needed.
Do you work with agencies or only directly with brands?
Both. Internal marketing teams are our primary clients, but we also work with independent agencies that need additional creative, design, and animation capabilities. We can lead creative development directly with a brand or join an established agency process as the production partner responsible for bringing the approved direction to life.
